Hello to all,

Again, I would like to thank everyone for their time and ideas that each has put into FLYP's educational program. I can safely speak for everyone when I say that this program is highly anticipated by all, everyone is excited to get this program up and running. Just to put everyone on the same page, the plan is to have this program up and running for the start of the semester in January at McClane High School. Initially, we will plan on working with the Freshmen and Sophomores for the first term, then extend it to the other classes in years to come. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22 @ 5:30 PM at My Internet Cafe in Riverpark. We really would like to have full participation because I believe we each bring something so valuable to the table to make this great. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via phone or email. Thanks everyone, and I look forward to meeting with you all.

This workshop will run along the lines of Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus in the workplace. This seminar will be a mixed panel of males and females in an open and interactive forum, and allow for both sexes to discuss various subjects and issues regarding men and women in the workplaces. This will be an opportunity for both men and women to ask the questions they do not know how to ask in a safe environment with an experienced facilitator. The subject topics will follow the interest of the seminar participants molineaux@qecoaching.com with topics of interest> and will include communication skills and decifering the language barriers between men and women. Tickets are $20 per session. FLYP members save an additional $5 at the door if you bring a print of this . Tuesday, July 26th. Indoor Rock Climbing at Yosemite Fitness. Located at 5075 N Ceder Ave, on the NW corner of Shaw and Ceder next to Macy’s Furniture. This is a great way to try something new, and network with other young professionals while catching your breath. Meet at 6pm. Admission is $11/$15 and includes a lesson, safety gear, and rock climbing for the evening.

FLYP will be meeting in the beer garden from 6pm to 7pm for our Happy Hour Tour, before we set you free to enjoy all Fulton Thursdays has to offer. Fulton Thursdays are located in the heart of downtown Fulton Mall, between Fresno and Tulare. Park in any of the nearby parking structures.

This is a FLYP supported event. Over 30 Tower District businesses will be serving up samples of at this wonderful tasting event. Everything from stuffed mushrooms to specialty meat loaf, from rice pudding to green tea, from fine wine to pasta salads. Eight local wineries will also be featured, offering tastings of their locally produced wines. Only 500 tickets are being sold, and they are going FAST! Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Monday, April 11 @ 6:30pm

FLYP will be hosting a Fresno Grizzlies group activity on Monday, April 11th. Cost is $7 per person and includes a ticket as well as a voucher at the concessions stand for a hot dog and soda. We will be meeting downtown at Los Ponchos Mexican Restaurant (1000 Fulton Mall, Directions, (559) 497-9999) and head over towards the stadium promptly at 6:30pm for the 7:05pm game. Wildflowers on the McKenzie Preserve Hike

Sierra Foothill Conservancy will be leading a hike "Wildflowers on the McKenzie Preserve." The hike will take us to the top of the McKenzie Tabletop Mnt, about a 6 mile hike. The hike is free, although we encourage people to donate $5 (for our website fund). Remember to bring water and your own lunch. More information can be found on http://www.sierrafoothill.org/. FLYP's first Steering Committee Meeting will be held at The Revue Friday, March 4th, 2005 @ 6:00pm. The Revue is located at 620 E Olive (in the Tower District across from Bobby Salazar’s). This is your opportunity to help build the foundation for FLYP. We will be deciding what direction we will be wanting FLYP to move, what events we will be looking to in the upcoming quarter, as well as appointing committees. Food and drinks will be available for purchase during this meeting. This will be a business meeting lasting an hour to an hour and a half. COIL Yoga Tuesday Feb 22nd @ 7:15pm

COIL Yoga will host the 2nd meeting of FLYP on February 22 @ 7:15pm. A $5 or $10 donation is suggested at the door to cover the cost of the wine and light snacks.

The meeting will begin with a beginner level Intro to Yoga class . The class will begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Wear comfortable, moveable clothing, and bring a hand towel. Mats will be provided, but if you have your own please bring it. Try not to eat for an hour before the class. Please call Katie Flinn at 559-270-4709 to register for the class, as space will be limited to the first 25 people.

Wine and light snacks will be served afterwards during the social hour which will begin after class at 8:15pm. If you are only attending the social hour, please email flypinfo@hotmail.com to RSPV (so we can get an accurate head count for light snacks/wine).
